Proposal for landowners

The company New Energy Group JSC offers regular income without any overhead costs for the entire period of wind turbine operation.

Thus, if you own a site, you can earn additionally at minimum costs by leasing a small part of your land (about 15 ares), in which we will construct a wind turbine.

New Energy Group JSC welcomes inquiries from farmers, communities, businesses, or other persons willing to contribute (lease land) to the expansion of the Lithuanian sector of renewable energy sources.

Note: before you make a call, make sure you know the cadastre number or the unique number of your site. We need the number to verify the location of the site and its eligibility for development of wind energy.

ADVANTAGE: the turbine takes up a very small area (the diameter is about 7 metres at the basis); therefore, the area around the wind turbine can still be used for growing of crops, for pastures, etc. Except that residential or other buildings cannot be built in the area (the Sanitary Protection Zone) in which the noise level is exceeded.

Upon signing of the contract, New Energy Group UAB will take care of implementation of all necessary procedures and execution of all documents which would permit to start construction. The process can take up between half a year and several years.

  • All construction operations are coordinated with the landowner in order to make minimum impact on his/her activities. For instance, if a farmer is growing crops, construction of the wind turbine may be scheduled for completion before the sowing time. In such case the damage inflicted by the equipment necessary for construction will be minimal.
  • Upon completion of construction of wind turbines, farming activities around them remain practically intact. The towers or the territory within the span of the rotor blades need not be fenced in. The tower will be attached to the base slab (an area of about 14´14 metres), which will be placed at a depth of 2 metres and, therefore, will not inhibit farming activities.
  • The electricity is transmitted through an underground cable laid at a depth of 1 metre. The cables are usually laid along paths, roads, walls, etc.; thus their impact is also minimal.

The most notable change probably is a road to the wind turbine (width: 5 m), which must be retained for the entire period of turbine operation. The trajectory of the road is also determined considering the requests of the landowner, in order to reduce the amount of inconveniences as much as possible. The entire control of the wind turbine is automated—the distance control (radio relay) is used; physical inspections, when specialists come, usually take place once in three or more months; therefore, the road will not be used very often and, in those rare cases of its use, it will be used only by cars (neither cranes nor other heavy equipment will be used).
