SZ- possible territory on which the shadow of wind turbine’s blades will fall for over 30 hours per years. In such case the wind turbine would be stopped at a certain time in order to prevent discomfort of homestead’s residents (no flicker of the shadows).
TZ - the territory in which the noise of the wind turbine exceeds 55 dB and the determined Sanitary Protection Zone.
Our completed actual projects (e.g. the wind farm in Sudėnai) showed that the noise of wind turbines is barely audible close to the tower on a summer day: it drowns in the murmur of bees and in other background noises.
Important: the zone of shadows and the Sanitary Protection Zone depend on the characteristics of the location, as well as on the layout of the wind farm, on the models and other characteristics of the wind turbines; therefore, it is important to do the modelling and calculations for each specific case.
